Executive Staff Gary R. Schnip, President (e-mail: gary@gschnip.com) started his construction career in 1973, serving in varied capacities such as Laborer, Field Engineer, Assistant Superintendent, Estimator, Sales Engineer, Project Manager, Vice President, and currently President of G. Schnip Construction, Inc. He is a graduate of Dean Junior College and Texas A & M University School of Architecture and Engineering with a major in Building Construction and a minor in Business Administration. Stanley Pishka, Jr., Project Manager and Director of Field Operations, is a graduate of Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut. Mr. Pishka was formerly with another large Connecticut Builder-Developer prior to joining G. Schnip Construction, Inc. in 1992. Mr. Pishka started his career as a carpenter in 1959 and quickly worked his way through the ranks of Superintendent, General Superintendent, and now Director of Field Operations and Project Manager. He is recognized as one of the industry's top "Construction Professionals" and known for his ability to generate quality work, with the client's best interest in mind. Carol Riley, Management Information Systems, (e-mail: carol@gschnip.com) joined the G. Schnip staff as Manager of Information Systems in 1996. She graduated with high honors from Three Rivers State Technical College with a degree in accounting and has more than eleven (11) years experience in property management and construction accounting. In her current position, she is responsible for day-to-day operations of the system and supervises the office staff in processing of job cost control, general ledger, accounts payables and receivables, corporate accounting, payroll, and requisitions. Sandra S. Slonski, Administrative Assistant, (e-mail: sandra@gschnip.com) has been with G. Schnip Construction, Inc. as Executive Secretary since its inception in May 1992. She has more than twenty-four (24) years experience in administration of construction projects. She holds an A.S. in Business Administration from Mohegan Community College and is also a graduate of Bryant College where she completed a program in Secretarial Science. In her capacity as Administrative Assistant, she is required to perform a wide variety of tasks including the preparation of proposals, bids, contracts, and related functions. Linda J. Stafford, Secretary/Project Management, joined G. Schnip in 1997 as Secretary in the Project Management Department. She is a graduate of Norwich Free Academy and the North American Correspondence School in Scranton, PA where she completed a Legal Secretarial Program. As Project Management Secretary, she is responsible for all day-to-day administrative tasks including the preparation of contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and general correspondence. Marty A. Sedlmeier, Superintendent, is the newest member of G. Schnip Construction, Inc.'s staff. He is a construction professional with over twenty (20) years experience in the industry. Some of the Projects/Clients he has been assigned to include Ledge Light Federal Credit Union, Wesleyan University, Hartford Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, Pfizer, City Place I and II and Hartford Insurance Group. Additionally, Marty is a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Business Management. Thomas Pishka, Superintendent/Project Manager has, like his father Stan, worked his way up through the construction field through levels of Apprentice, Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, and Superintendent. His credentials will testify to his ability to perform "on time and within budget" without sacrificing quality. A high school graduate with some college education, Tom is the second generation Pishka employed by G. Schnip Construction as a Superintendent. Fred Utz, Superintendent, served in the U.S. Coast Guard upon completion of H.H. Ellis Technical School in Danielson, CT. He has worked as a carpenter and is now one of G. Schnip Construction, Inc.'s top-notch superintendents. Consultants Peter Maneri, C.P.A., Financial Consultant and Corporate Secretary, is a graduate of Providence College with a B.S. in Accounting. Mr. Maneri has more than twenty-one (21) years experience in Accounting and Finance in the construction industry. His vast background in accounting systems, short and long-term planning, bonding, insurance, and tax legislation is surely an asset to G. Schnip Construction, Inc. |
